About Me
Vida Awinime BUGRI obtained a first degree in French language from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. She later pursued a master’s degree in International Business from the University of Orleans, France. She is currently finalising a PhD in International leadership in France with an interdisciplinary research focus on Education and STEM. As a researcher with a passion for STEM, Vida has witnessed firsthand the disparities and challenges faced by women in STEM education. Through her various teaching positions in France and armed with a deep understanding of the industry’s dynamics and a commitment to social justice, she embarked on a journey to advocate for change to empower, mentor and train women in STEM through her NGO, Eduvision.
Through rigorous academic inquiry and empirical research, Vida has shed light on the root causes of gender inequality in STEM. Her studies have explored issues such as bridging the digital divide among youth in Ghana, Gender leadership gap in STEM related fields,Women Navigating the Entrepreneurial Landscape in STEM Education, the use of social media in accessing health information and many more.
Beyond her research contributions, Vida Awinime BUGRI has been a vocal advocate for gender diversity and inclusion in STEM. She has spoken and presented her work at the European Parliament and in many conferences in Europe USA and Africa.
Vida is also an avid reader, loves tennis and adores nature.
